Congratulations everyone

Well done everyone who took part and a big thank you to Paul for organising this (I know at times it must have been like herding cats! ;) ) and a very big thank you to Dave who stepped in at the last minute to do the driving, without whom this would have been even more difficult than it already was.

Everyone completed all 3 Peaks in very tough conditions making this a huge success, I'm very proud of you all :)

Some more piccies will be posted shortly...

On the way home

It's 6am on Monday morning. We are just approaching Gloucester to drop our driver Dave off. Dave, thanks a million we couldn't have done it without you. We're not in the minibus which sufferered it's second puncture en route to snowdon, but in two taxis courtesy of the AA as there was no way of replacing the 2nd tyre on a Sunday night. Hoping to have the rest of the team in Plymouth in a couple of hours time.

snowdon summit

Just achieved the summit of snowdon despite 2 punctures in the minibus. All 3 peaks completed with the whole team and against the odds. Well done team :-) Now for the mammoth journey home.

Minibus mayhem

Finally started repacking the van at services near Kendal at about 3pm. Climbing on board we noticed a puncture! Another hour spent at the services first trying to change the wheel, but the nuts were stuck, then waiting for the AA, who were pretty quick and got up on our way. Now about 10 miles from Conwy and about an hours drive to Snowdon. Ascent will be in the dark. ETA Plymouth about 0630 tomorrow if there are no further hiccups.

Snowdon

After some luggage 'hiccups' which have lost us some time the team have decided to continue towards and complete Snowdon today at any cost.
We are determined and will not fail the main aim of the challenge - to complete all the 3 peaks.
Spirits are high and legs are strong!

Nearly at the bottom of scafell, hoping to be at the minibus and on the road by 10. Currently sat looking at the last leg of our decent with fantastic views over wast water and in glorious sunshine :-)

Got back to the minibus at 2245 all tired and ready for our night drive to scafell pike. The midges at the base are driving us crazy though!

Dan

Near the summit!

And we're off...half way up nevis...clock started at 5! Tick tick tick.

Happy birthday Laura :)
Have just stopped for a very filling pub lunch (+birthday cake), now driving the last 35 miles to Fort William. All starting to get quite excited now, plus the weather's still fantastic.

Let me out, I only have 1 rucksack on the roof.

In da bus!

Finally... We're moving! No need to look so worried Dan :-p

On the road

Just picked up danny and dave from the airport. All the team together at last! Now on the road to ben nevis.

Dan
Well after having a good laugh (and moan) about Neet & Karen's disastrous check-in last night - where they were sent to various rooms to visit a few other members of the team before being given a disabled room at 1am - we now have the minibus packed, the food shopping done & are on our way to pick up the last 2 stragglers from the airport. Nerves definitely kicking in now!!

Challenge morning

So ... here I am, 27th birthday - up at 7am. I really can't think of anything better than waking up on your birthday in a garlic stench filled room with Steph and Sue! And my stomach is all disgusting and round like a ball from the sheer volume of pasta consumed last night, I may not fit in my trousers. It's gonna be a long day!
But, I wonder, how on earth are Neet and Karen feeling this morning after their festivities yesterday ... bring on breakfast so we can have a look at them!

Everyone else is beginning to arrive & as it turned into another hot & sunny day we're all in high spirits :)
Lots of last minute panic shopping in Blacks has taken place today but now we're getting ready for footy & pasta before the nerves set in & we can't eat!

Day 2

Too much tartan and whiskey, this pic was taken from Edinburgh Castle on our morning walk to prep for the big one tomorrow. The faint sound of bagpipes wafting in on the chilly Scottish air.

Morning all. Touristy day today - although Laura & I are a little behind on the boys schedule. What's a girl to do?
And after glorious sunshine yesterday it's an overcast day - good for walking if it stays! :)
